LifeStart's team of Registered Dietitians work diligently to improve members' health and well-being. Whether working with individuals, small groups, or entire companies, our RDs' focus is always on education and lasting behavioral change.
RDs are the food and nutrition experts. Every LifeStart RD has a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree and is required to complete at least 1,200 hours of additional supervised dietetic practice. Finally, each RD has passed a comprehensive national exam and completed ongoing professional educational requirements.
LifeStart's RDs help members accomplish a variety of nutritional and health goals:

During a one-on-one or group nutritional consultation, LifeStart's RDs utilize motivational interviewing to encourage behavior change and build a healthy relationship with food. Each client is unique, therefore RDs use evidence-based practices to meet every individual's needs. RDs create customized individual meal plans based on the member's calorie needs, specific goals, cooking abilities, and equipment. An RD's main goal is create a sustainable plan that their clients can easily follow. Meal plan packages include recipes, simple meal-prep instructions, grocery lists, and periodic check-ins with the RD.
Working directly with corporate clients, LifeStart RDs act as a direct source for nutrition and health information. In addition to the traditional lunch-and-learn presentations, our RDs assist in choosing healthy catering and cafeteria options, facilitating cooking demonstrations with recipes, efficient one-on-one block counseling sessions, and other engaging events.
