B.A. University of Iowa
Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
Gray Institute: Certification in Applied Functional Science (CAFS)
David came to strength training in 2010 while preparing for Ironman Canada. Years of competing in endurance
events had left his body teetering on the brink of injury: inactive muscles, limited joint range of motion, and poor
posture threatened to put the kibosh on any physical activities, let alone racing. But after a few months of
consistent work with a personal trainer, he was stronger, faster, and moved better than ever. A former
collegiate rower, avid runner, cyclist, and current stair climber, David is now a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. David has trained clients from diverse backgrounds, from the seasoned marathoner, power lifters, to the fitness novice, and helped them move more athletically, feel and look better. He utilizes tried and true strength and conditioning protocols combined with functional movements to help them improve body composition, joint function, and boost performance. He looks forward to meeting the 200 West Madison community.
